Statement of Intent
Sub-genre (crime) | |
Murder (crime documentary) | My team and I have been watching and studying murder documentaries and we find that it would be the most interesting sub-genre to create. We know the tropes that go into this genre very well and all of our ideas that we had from the beginning aligned with a murder documentary. |
Topic | |
Medical abuse for coercive control, a girl drugging her boyfriend so that he never leaves her
Primary Target Audience
Demographic
| Reason The main characters in the documentary are teens, and the production team are also teens, which allows it to cater easier towards the teen audience. However the topic is quite gruesome which may not be suitable for children under the age of 15 |
Psychographic
| Reason Because the crime documentary is about medical abuse and control, we aim to target an audience that primarily enjoys similar criminal mystery documentaries, who seek tension in documentaries. |
Message (Dominant Reading)
Never trust someone 100%, never ignore your guts. | Reason |
